"Barf" Bones and raw food!
Since a wile my dogs are eating bones and raw food. Something I wanted for a while now, but of course you want to know what to feed, to provide a complete meal.
Since I feed my dogs a raw diet, within no time their stamina Increased a lot!!
I can work them for a longer period of time, and they only need a few minutes to recover, it is absolutly amazing to see the difference!!
I always have found it strange that you buy a bag of dog food, that will last for a year or so, knowing there is meet processed in the food. Apart from that. Mostly the number one ingredient in a bag of dogfood is grains. Which is a very common cause of allergies, besides that, dogs do not need any grains! So it just fills there stomach, which makes it cheap for the manufacturer.
The faeces of my dogs is at least half of what they where, and there is no stinky smell anymore.
So what other reasons to feed a raw diet?
Tons of reasons, this is one:
Any kind of cooking process will damage the nutritional content of food. This is made worse still if the ingredients that went into the food weren’t much good in the first place. Vitamins, proteins, fats and carbohydrates are all damaged during processing, and food can lose as much as 70% of its nutritional value before it gets to your pets bowl.
I recently read a book from a vet that recommends raw food. She often gets people with animals in her practice with all sorts of problems. They have visited different vets and do not know what to do anymore. These are problems like skin prbolems, ear problems trowing up, diabetic problems, dental/breath problems, bowel/urinary problems, all sorts of allergies,
etc, etc....
She recommends the people to step over to a raw balanced diet, and her experience is that 75% of the people who come to her practice with problems are solved after a couple of weeks, just by putting them on a raw diet!!!
The juise in the stomach of the dog is lower with raw food, and therefore the dog will have a better immune system, plus because of this lower ph in the stomach, it has a better resistance against the wrong bacteria and again a better immune system .
